A weekend in Perth

Wow - what a weekend.  We spent time at  the beach, reading and playing in the sand, and then today went to Lion King 3D, with Cassie and Marcus.  Cassie did great, a little scared of Scar but for the most part great.  Marcus did well considering his age and attention span.  He sat through until about 30 minutes in and then I went a walked the lobby until Simba decided to go back to Pride Rock - not as much as I wanted to see, but not bad.

Tonight Cassie requested to be a pizza chef again, so off we went to the store, ham, pineapple 1000 lbs of cheese and sauce.   Yummmm.  She ate one piece under duress.......one day she will come home and devour food I am sure.

Marcus fell off the table today and gave himself the third fat lip of the week.  I am seriously thinking a helmet or bubble wrap might be in order.

So excited to move into our house this week.  Space, room, and a bathtub I am in heaven.

Well Mike is back at work getting ready for the week and my small seconds of computer time is up now that Cassie wants to play something - she is choosing, that usually takes 20 minutes.

Perth News

Perth news, we are all surviving here, enjoying the day today as there was sun in the sky for the whole day....rain has been around for the past week or so.

We have a busy week coming up since we are moving into our rental house on Friday - thats right at long last our stuff is here and we have a place to put it.  I cannot tell you how excited i am to have my couch, my bed and all my books along with the kids stuff too.

I sit here and am watching Anne of Green Gables, which I found on DVD last week.  Ahhh does it bring back memories, and for any other fans out there, I am going to turn it off before Matthew dies, because I can not stand to weep so hard until I cannot breathe!

The other day Mike asked Cassie what colour Marcus was - we had been talking about animals before.  She said |" He is not a colour because I love him"  Out of the mouthes of babes.  She is one smart girl.

Not much else new, just watching Marcus everyday running, jumping and being all boy all the time.  Cassie is turning into a little grown up girl.  Everyday astounding me with her stories and actions.

It is hard to believe that in less then 5 months we will be adding a new little one to the crowd, girl or boy who knows but either way a handful of fun I am sure.

Once a month - update

Hi all,

The few who still follow the worst updated blog. Sorry.

Things in Perth have been getting busy, we have joined a playgroup on Mondays, have library reading time on Friday mornings, and have bought a car, and rented a house in the last week.

Today I have been making arrangements for Cassie to start Kindy in February, like pre-school back home, and also trying to get both Cassie and Marcus into Swimming lessons.

Otherwise things here are good, apparently our shipment has arrived and now needs to be in quarantine for a couple of weeks. Only a little more time and then we will be into our place and settling in.

The kids are growing and thriving, Marcus is getting eye teeth and still believes most of the time sleeping is optional! He is climbing everything and does not think the word no means anything, except do it again.

Cassie is growing up quick, seeming older everyday. Her language and negotiation skills are impressive, and I think we will have a run for our money when she does really want something! Like Dora tickets, who is coming live in October. Yes, we are taking her.

All is well down under, we are getting adjusted and trying to make this feel a little like home.

Below are some photos - some at home and some since we've gotten here
