Cassie and Skye ride Thomas the train

November Update

Well once a month, and I am getting this in under the line....so far so good.  This month has been busy as we are starting to settle in to living in Perth.  The kids are enjoying making friends, especially Cassie who now has a posse of ladies she loves hanging with.  Isobel, Skye and Phoebe.  Marcus just likes hanging out with the ladies!  I am also enjoying spending time with some of the moms I have met here in Perth.

We are getting closer to the arrival date of baby number 3, and this time around I have no idea if the new addition will be a boy or a girl.  Cassie is sure of a sister heading her way, but she seems to be the only one who knows, I guess we will see.  Marcus knows where the baby is, and oh so carefully tries to poke the baby in the eye through my belly button.  A very painful bonding moment for sure.  Both Cass and Marcus do a great job of kissing the belly goodnight, and Cassie makes a real effort to feel the baby kicking, but everytime she puts her hand on it, the kicking stops....darn little siblings.

This month we also got to try out the Perth Children's Hospital, which I am happy to report was great in waiting times and dr's we got to see.  Mike, Cassie and Marcus were wreslting, and Marcus got the short stick and ended up hurting his leg.  For almost a week we thought we were going to have a little guy in a cast, but true to form he bounced back and now is back to all his old antics, running, climbing on the dining room table and trying to take out Cassie!

The weather in Perth has definatly taken a turn for the summer as the last couple of days have been hovering right about 35 degrees.  I do think this is the hottest I have felt, and I cannot believe how heavy the heat is, even when we are just sitting outside and the kids are playing in the pool.  Needless to say I now have a whole new type of emergency kit in the car.  Water, spare hats, spare clothes and lots of gas, cause I don't want to experience running out when I NEED the A/C!!

Our house is really cool naturally, some architect planned well, so only today have we put the A/C on in the house, but what a feeling when you walk in from the yard to cool air.  My plan for the summer is going to be get up, get out to do an activity and then back home for the heat of the afternoon, quite a switch from the wait until 11 to get warm enough to use the paddling pool of last year in Alberta.

Mike is working hard, enjoying getting a little more comfortable in his role and the company itself.  This week is the Christmas Party which is hard to wrap your mind around when we are cooking.  Christmas will be a whole different experience this year for sure.

well that is it for now, I will include some photos.
